As a I came to England, I had been sorted to a family with 3 young boys. I was very excited, because I like children. Apart from that, they had a cat. I love animals and especially cats are my favourites. And everything seemed perfect at the start. All of a sudden, I started to get these horrible headaches. And of course, the screaming and loud children wasn’t ideal. Next to that, the food wasn’t that good. Easting was really exhausting, because most was tasteless and the only vegetables I got were out of cans. I also had to eat alone most of the time, which shouldn’t have been.

I started to mention it to one of the teachers and after a few chats it was clear, I was going to change host families. I told them and thought it was fine, because I did not say anything about the food. I only mentioned the headaches. I had to live with them for another week. However, they were extremely cold all of a sudden. It wasn’t a fun week, because I just did not feel welcome at all.

However as soon as I had moved in with my new host parents, I felt way better. The food is amazing and even though i miss the cat of the old family, I really adore Bolt, their dog. Everything is just better now, and I can fully enjoy my time here.
