After the two nights in Portsmouth, we drove about two hours to bath. It was raining and winding, but that made the autumn trees look even brighter orange. When we arrived, I immediately noticed, that all the buildings are mad out of the same material. So, everything fits together perfectly. We decided to stay in a hotel for the next two nights, because it was supposed to rain and there was no camping near Bath. We parked our caravan and walked to the hotel we were planning on staying. After some problems with checking in and a change of hotel location, we were able to enter our room. Simple but cozy. We were in the upper half of the town centre, so the view out of our window was amazing. After unpacking out bags, my mom and I went for a little walk. The rain had stopped, and it was nearly dark. Everything looked really beautiful. With all the lights from the little bars or cafes. My das joined us later and we went to a Asian restaurant for dinner. The food was amazing, except the fact, that I found a piece of wire in my food. I was a bit shocked. But I luckily didn’t eat it and the workers at the restaurant were all extremely sorry and took responsibility for the mistake. They did not even charge me for the food.

The next morning the weather wasn’t as bad as we expected it to be. We got breakfast at a café and walked through the centre later. My dad really wanted to look at the locks for the ships at the river. I was really boring tough. After a loooong time (were probably only like 45 minutes) we finally went back to the centre. There were thousands of little shops and cafes. And everything looked soooo beautiful. I could really imagine living there some day. I would open my own little goldsmith atelier. After a day of window-shopping and taking pictures with my camera, we got dinner at an Italian place. I normally don’t really like pizza, because it is too greasy, but I really enjoyed my mushroom pizza.

We sadly had to leave bath the next morning (I could have stayed there for ever). The plan was to drive back to Eastbourne, but with a few stopes and also night on the way, because it would be too far. First, we stopped in Castle Combe. It is a tiny village with only old houses. You weren’t able to drive alle the way there, so we had to walk for about 15 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. It was still raining, but not too much, so it was fine. I loved all the cozy, tiny houses. But there were a lot of tourists. Can’t imagine how packed it would be in summer. We went to a café (The only one in the village) and I got my cappuccino and even a croissant.

We drove to Eastbourne with a few more stops on the way and arrived on Saturday afternoon. We spent the rest of the day here and I showed my parents all my favourite things about this town. I really enjoyed the week with mum and dad, and I can’t wait to see them at Christmas.
