This week a trip to the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh was on the plan. We met at the Eastbourne railway station on Tuesday morning. We were about to spend the next 7 hours in a train. Luckily, we only had to change once, which was in London. The journey was pretty exhausting, but we eventually arrived at the Train station of Edinburgh in the evening. We carried our bags through the city to our hostel, which’s location was in the centre of the “new town”. After unpacking our things in the rooms, we ate dinner (It was acceptable apart from the fact that there was no salt in it). After dinner we went out to explore the city. We walked up to a hill where you could see nearly all of Edinburgh from above. After, Lena and I sat down to listen to some buskers playing and singing. It was amazing. Sadly, we did not have any money with us.

The next day we got ready in the morning. It was extremely amusing seeing Soraya get ready from above.

After breakfast we left to get to Edinburgh castle. The weather was not too bad (cloudy but no rain). The Castle was really impressive because it was like a tiny village on a hill. And the view from up there was amazing!! We had some free time at lunch after which we used to explore the old town part of the city. And it truly is a magical as people say. Sadly, there were quite a few construction sights.

For the afternoon a hike on Arthur seat (a hill directly next to the city) was planned, however sadly it was raining which made it difficult and also a bit dangerous. Instead, we went to the national museum of Scotland. I could not resist on comparing it with the British museum in London. And if a am honest, I liked the Scottish one way better. The organisation was clearer and it was not that packed (Ik that has nothing to do with the museum itself, more as with my personal experience).  A big part was about animals, which I though was extremely interesting.

Lena really wanted to go to this photo spot of one of her favourite series, so of course went with her. It was a nice dawn mood, and I was able to take some great pictures.

The next day a small group and I went to the camera obscure (A optical illusion Museum). It was really fun and some weird pictures have resulted.

In the afternoon we had free time, so we could do whatever we wanted to do. Due to the rather bad weather, Lena, Soraya and I went to a cute coffee shop (It was fcking expensive, help…) After we walked back to the hostel and I took some lovely pictures of the city.

The next morning, we packed our stuff and went on the journey pack home. I had a lovely time, and I definitely want to go again.
