On Monday afternoon I went to the park to work through some English homework. The weather was stunning and there was a squirrel constantly watching me. I am always surprised how much they trust us humans so much (I wouldn’t if I was one). I got myself some dinner and ate it in the park. It was a warm and sunny evening. There were so many people, if in the skate park or the grass field, it was extremely lively. I have done this a few times now and I am not planning to stop.
I don’t know what I should say about this, but I found these gorgeous flowers on the side of the road. The reminded me of home, because we have these in a field near our house. I have no idea what the are called, but they look a bit like poppies (my favourite flower)
On Wednesday I went to the park to have dinner with Robin and Soraya. I had bought some walnuts in order to feed them to the squirrels and OMGG, one ate it out of my hand, and I was even able to take a picture. After dinner Soraya made her way home. I had the sudden urge to climb a tree. So, we went on the search of a fitting tree. As we found one, I climbed on it. It really brough flashbacks of my childhood. As I child a was always up in some tree. We decided to go to the Frontier Café and Bar after. There was a chess board on our table and even though we both hadn’t played it a while we started a game. I won :3 (pure luck) I ended the evening with a walk back home.
Lena and I baked brownies at her place on Sunday. Or,… we tried. Anyways. It was quite a challenge to get all the ingredients, because baking isn’t a really common thing here in England. However, we managed to get everything and started with the mixing of the ingredients. So far so good. But!… we did not thing about the fact that a gas oven is hotter than the ones we have a home. After 25 minutes (it said 30 in the recipe) they were completely burned! Well, we’ll have to try again. After that fail we started watching our favourite series, young royals. We had both seen in multiple times before, if that is in English or German. However, the plan was to watch it in Swedish. We both are leaning Swedish on Duolingo and because the series is originally in Swedish, we thought we’d give it a try. It was okey, but probably because we both already exactly knew what was happening. However, we did drift of and started chatting instead.
